Dedicated to Finding Value as well as Beauty!
Sidney Z. Lucas printed this particular item, number 07, in New York City in the middle of the last century. The work is entitled: “Roses, Lilacs, Auricules et Campanules”, and depicts a gorgeous bouquet that consists of perfect examples of each of those blossoms. The work is exquisitely housed in a large, intricately carved golden wood frame. The print is double matted, with a green internal matte and an ivory colored outer matte. Nestled between these two colors is a gold metal inlay that surrounds the image and complements the frame.
This is a large print in excellent condition. The framed work measures 20.5” by 26.5”. The actual size of the image is 12” by 18”. It was purchased at an elegant Westchester New York home, with a companion piece that we are also offering as RL 5124. Each work can stand on its own as an exceptional example of this printmaking genre, but together they make an awesome wall display. Each piece can be had for $400.00.
