This fantastic jardiniere features transfer decoration of two Napoleonic battle scenes. The first is commemorating a French victory against the Ottoman Empire in Haifa which occurred on March 8, 1799. The second is commemorating a victory near the village of Wagram, east of Vienna, on July 6, 1809.
This piece was produced by the Boch Freres Company of La Louviere, Belgium. It bears the 1920s version of the company's stamped mark on the underside as shown in the photos.
Jardiniere measures 6 3/4" tall, has a diameter of 8" at top and 4 3/4" at bottom approximately. A nice addition to any Napoleon collection.
