This lovely 12 1/2" tall vase is in two parts. The art glass vase is in excellent plus condition with no chips, cracks, deep scratches or repairs. It's favrile finish is a lovely overall medium tone with subtle shimmering color changes depending on angle of glass & light (photos 1-3). The vase has a blown top rim that is in excellent plus condition with no repairs. I can see well down into the interior of the vase for a good 4" & it looks to be in excellent condition with no scratching from floral stems. The bottom has a ground pontil for fitting flat into the Tiffany Furnaces base. The edge of the bottom has the marks of L.C.T. Favrile as well as what might be a 6. The bottom rim has a few of those pesky 1/64" bites as well as a 1/32" nick. In the body of the vase you can see a few of those normal, occasional specks/small spots that you always find in favrile or aurene finishes as well as a few 1/64" flea bites & 1/32" minute scratches. There is also a 1/16" scratch & a horizontal swirl line (photo # 8) towards the bottom of the vase in the finish. The line is NOT a scratch. I have carefully run my fingers & nail over it and get no drag! The base of the vase is bronze & enamel. Please excuse the white glassy look on the enamel-it is light reflection! The enamel is a lovely mottled blending of shades of forest greens with accents of gold & off white. The enamel had some surface only chipping so the entire enamel area was professionally covered with a clear top coat to fill in the uneven surface & preserve the enamel. The bronze base is in excellent condition with no rips, tears, dents, deep scratches or repairs. The bottom of the base has the Tiffany Furnaces marks as seen in photo # 9 . The base has a dia. of 4" & the top of the vase has a dia of 3 3/16". A beautiful decorator item that shows the artistry of two of Tiffany's major divisions during the turn of the century.
